TTTS Friends

Crew's fellow single-surviving TTTS friend Micah recently moved to Utah from California!  Welcome, Micah and family!  While I have had several previous opportunities to spend time with mama Melissa when she has come to town to visit family, Crew and Micah are just beginning their face-to-face relationship. It is so nice to have them living just up the road!

Virginia Contingent

Our thoughts and prayers are with our family members and friends on the east coast. Here are pictures of just some of our east coast cousins during drier weather.... here, of course!  In the desert!  Where wildfires are our special brand of danger.

Swimmers

Somehow during the insanity that was our Summer of 2012, we also squeezed in swim lessons.

Tanner is confident and exceedingly buoyant in the water.

Kinley is a trustworthy little fish in deep water.  She floats, she swims, she treads.

Best. dive. ever.

Kinley and Tanner are capable swimmers!  Hurray!

But they weren't the only guppies in the pool!

Milestone

At Teeny Tears, we hit a bit of an unexpected, surreal milestone yesterday.  For once in my life I am speechless.

Love Letters

I normally wouldn't post these little papers that find their way into Kinley's backpack from various secret and not-so-secret admirers (and the occasional stalker), but my heart fairly melted over this note.  Fingers crossed this kid remains so sweet his whole life.

"Dear Kinly,

I think that you are the smartest, sweet, kind and way nice.  You also so helpful to other peaple.  When I see you it makes me want to give you anything you wan't.  You are a lot better than me at work and I am glad about that.  You are also fast because when you say, run, or rais your hand I can't believe my eyes and you are pritty.

Tinker Boy

Back to that whole "no more siblings" thing.  Kinley is adapting to the reality that she will never get that little sister she's been waiting for.

And no, he will not be getting any younger siblings, so you can keep your jokes to yourself.

The Puzzlers

Kinley and I are "puzzlers". No one else is really interested, so it's quality alone time for us to connect and chat about life in a casual setting. 300-pieces, baby!

Crew At Preschool

We couldn't be more pleased with Crew's preschool experience so far. His team really seems to understand him, love him, and have his best interests at heart. When we met for our parent-teacher conference, we set new goals for this year! He is now working on typical preschool things like colors, shapes, and counting. COLORS, SHAPES, AND COUNTING. LIKE TYPICAL PRESCHOOL KIDS. Oh, and he loves preschool.

First Day(s) of School!

The kids had staggered school start dates.

This is the first day of school for Kinley, 4th Grader Extraordinaire.

The first day of school for Tanner.

The nervous 1st Grader who wants his mama to stop asking him how he's doing.

There she goes!

And the first day of school for Crew.  THAT was a weird morning... all three kids leaving on the bus at the same time.
