The Morning Commute

I drove my kids to school this morning for their first day back after a luxurious month-long vacation.  On the way, we sang at the top of our lungs such popular ditties as "Old MacDonald" and other repetitive children's classics.

My. kids. make. me. laugh.

After singing The Ants Go Marching, I heard Kinley lament the inequality of responsibility within the ant community:  "It sounds like 'the little one' does all the work... that is so unfair."

As we finished up a rousing rendition of This Old Man, Kinley asked me if I could teach them how to play "knick knack" sometime (I'm pretty sure she'd like to play it on my spine).

Tanner, however, wasn't so sure that was a good idea...

"I don't know, Kinley," he said.  "I think people would think we were crazy if we were 'rolling home'.  They would probably call 9-1-1."
